The goal of the project was to create an aerial Google Maps landmark.
As is clear when seen from above, the project has a contemporary design which is drawn from the coastal landscape’s contours. The project site is 75,000 m2 and the concept was to create a temporary green area inspired by the waves in the sea using Mediterranean plants. The project had a limited budget and was intended to temporarily increase ornamental value of an unused area. The olive trees were moved to the area from a property where a hotel is going to be built. The white pebbles will be reused in the infrastructure of future buildings. The use of recycled and reusable materials in the design is an intentional way to serve as an example and building blocks for design considerations in the future and gives the project increased meaning.
